Lady Bug desperately wants to look like all of the other beautiful bugs she comes across. Their various colors, shapes, and sizes engulf Lady Bug with jealousy as she becomes more aware of her own differences. Lady Bug decides to use various objects to help shape and hide her appearance in order to become more like those around her. After numerous alterations, she realizes that both the physical and mental burden that changing herself has caused is too much to bear.

Children will be able to take away a truly heartfelt lesson hidden behind playful and rhythmic words. The purpose of this book is for kids to learn self-love and how to appreciate other's differences while also enjoying a vivid imaginary experience through literary art.
